Cinemarché 2011: a one day film and video event in Scarborough, Saturday 22nd October 2011
Cinemarché 2011 invites artists and film-makers to submit up to 3 short films or videos for selection and exhibition in Scarborough on Saturday 22nd October 2011.
Cinemarché 2011 will show selected film and video in in the Scarborough Public Market, a Grade II listed building built in 1853.
Cinemarché 2011 will be curated around material selected from this open call. 2011 is the 50th anniversary of Amnesty International. Submissions that address the theme of human rights will be given preference in the selection process. Cinemarché 2011 will of course accept submissions on other themes.
There are no limitations on who can apply, and there are no stipulations for material other than that each work must be no longer than 10 minutes in duration.
Cinemarché 2011 event will take place alongside and compliment the normal Saturday activities in the Market Hall.
There is no submission fee for Cinemarché 2011 and no fee will be paid to artists and film-makers whose work is selected for exhibition.
